Question du Jour

if you think about it this is the end, the end of a year, but it is also a new beginning...this question du jour is a two parter that has to do with the new year and the old one...
1) Did you accomplish any of the resolutions you set for this past year??
(if you feel comfortable sharing please do)
2) What is one resolution you have set for this coming year??
(if you don't feel comfortable sharing, then don't)

The End...

today is the last day of the year...the end...but with an end comes a beginning...adam gave a great devo tonight about goals for the new year and how we should never lose sight of our most important goals even if it means putting aside a smaller goals you have for yourself if they get in the way of the big picture...he also talked about the importance of loving each other, how God's love is for us is completed when we love each other...it was a really good devo...sean, tails, and jag just left my house a little while ago, always fun having them over...vacation is almost over...that thought is depressing, so i won't think about it...tonight i found out that jag suffed himself before he came to my japanese dinner, that hurts...i cooked that meal from 2-7...5 hours in the kitchen working on this meal and he ate before he came...thats really upsetting...but its ok, because God wants us to love each other and so i will forgive jag for eating before he came to my dinner...anyway, wed. night we played the old D&D campaign...it was really fun...the whole "lets talk in circles for a few hours" got annoying but it was all good...just to remedy any hurt feelings, the dragon enjoyed the company immensely even if he did get a little angry, and id bet a whole lot that he looks on you as friends who had his best interests at heart...wow i've got a lot to say, i haven't updated in forever...ill try to wrap things up...x-mas was amazing, me and sarah got a game cube and i got some other really cool stuff...i've been playing a lot of aoe (age of empires) with sean, jag, adam, and tails always fun...had people at my house until like 4 in the morning, amazing...my aunt flew in from florida, yay!...my grandparents basically live here now (they've been here for like 2 weeks and are staying for another 2) so they're in my room and i am now sleeping in the basement, which is actually quite fun...and (to keep things short) thats about it...

Question du Jour

This question has been inspired by sarah's play Oklahoma...
Would you rather be the farmer or the cow man??
and should they be friends??

Thursday...

church christmas children's show thing tonight it was...unique...adam said it was good and he initiated a standing ovation (you ever notice that if one person stands up everyone else does too?) but i think he's being nice...they are just kids after all, how good can they be...they had a good message and thats all that matters...anyway tomorrow is my last day of school, yay! and then i have to go christmas shopping, boo!...i found this really cool movie maker on my computer and im going to use it to edit our movie, its going to be awesome!!!! we are soooo going to win!!!!...the college kids are back YAY!!!...seany can beat me in halo again and we can watch anime...also i hope that we get to play a reunion game of d&d, i am so ready...and ill make the japanese dinner sometime next week...so far there are like 3 people who said they wanted to come and ill assume that sean and mike want to come (if you don't want to just tell me)...on tuesday i got my junior ring, i like it a lot...it has tennis on one side of the band and JAPAN!! on the other...it also has my name on the inside of the band and it has a sapphire, i really like it...anyway tomorrow is also the youth group christmas party, that will be fun too...finally i will apologise to the chocolate hater for pestering him about his lady friend, if he says he doesn't have one then ok...but ill still say he does because its fun...its all in the name of FRIENDSHIP!!!!!

Question du Jour

in honor of the upcoming season here are a few gifts to put on your "do not buy" list...
What is the worst gift (christmas or otherwise) that you've ever recieved??

The worst day ever...

today was one of the worst days i've had in a long time...i was late to school because of sarah, i had homework in every subject (which i just finished, 8:40 pm), i had to bake the cookies for mr. tate's order by myself (sarah had play), i forgot it was my friend's b-day and so i forgot her b-day card, i got so stressed out by it all that i burned almost all of the snickerdoodles i was making and barely had enough good cookies to fill the order, etc...hopefully tomorrow will be better, i look forward to the japanese meal im making (date TBA and RSVP immediately!!)...i still have to go christmas shopping, can't believe its only 6 days away, i wonder what jag (a.k.a the chocolate hater) got for his lady friend (ill leave tails alone on the lady friend subject for a while)...i am so aggrivated that i don't know who jag's lady friend is...i can't wait to go to france and hopefully japan...JAPAN ROCKS!!!!!!!!GOD RULES!!!!!!!!!!

the first step...

my friend found out about what i was going to tell her by the worst possible way, she overheard someone else talking about it...here's to tripping on the first step...after her initial anger was gone i talked to her about it and she's not as mad at me as she was before, it's still a long way to the top of the proverbial staircase but at least the first steps are behind me...anyway, about that japanese dinner, its an open invitation but you have to tell me if you want to come so i know how much food to make...also i may need a little help in the indgredient department, since i can't drive, but we'll work that out later...today (while reading jag's xanga) i realized that im a junior and will be in college in about a year and a half...wow that scares me, i know what i want to do but i don't know what college i want to go to...it scares me how much my future depends on the decisions i will make in the next few years, but i will trust in God and pray for the best...oh well high school concert tonight and, oh what fun, i get to see that person im climbing the stairs with (im really taking the staircase metaphor to far)...well JAPAN ROCKS!! but GOD RULES!!!!

Question du Jour

Without looking it up or asking someone, what was the gift that was given on the 12th day of Christmas??

Decisions.....

have you ever had to tell someone something that you know is going to hurt them?? well i find myself in that situation right now...i won't give any names but i hope that this person will forgive me and that it will all turn out ok...Anyway...my mom isn't feeling to well right now, she's off her medicine and she's on a really strict diet (no chocolate! *gasp*) so if you guys could pray for her that would be cool; and kelly hill's family needs prayers too...it seems like i unwittingly challenged sean to a halo rematch, oh well there's no harm in trying (you're going down seany!) but i don't want to sound to full of myself, lol...college kids come home soon, yay!...seany i've decided that i'm going to make japanese for dinner soon, so tell me a good day to do it on and you can come...due to the lack of comments on my book question i am now reading sense and sensibility by jane austin, not making much progress on that...well only 12 days until christmas, get your shopping done! (i know jag and tails will be shopping for their lady friends)...anyway thats about it...

Narnia!!!

last night i saw Narnia, it was such a good movie...i loved it!! (true the bad guy charge was strikingly smiliar to the orc charge in LOTR, but i can tolerate it)...today i finished the horse and his boy meaning that i've read 6 of the 7 narnia books, one more to go!...i was shocked to find out the tate hasn't read any of the narnia books...only 2 weeks until the college kids come home!!!! I CAN'T WAIT!!!! watching anime, hopefully playing a reunion game of d&d, and beating sean in halo (lol i wish...), i miss all of them...a lot :(...last night we played a little bit of halo before the movie...adam is getting better (really) and steve went on a rampage, he got like 3 kills in the first 15 seconds of the game anyway...God works in mysterious ways, and yesterdays those ways gave collingswood a day off from school due to no more than 2-3 inches of snow, praise God!!!! yeah well thats about it...except one thing JAPAN ROCKS!!!!
one more thing, every week Mr. Bret gives our class a bible verse and here's this week's verse...
What is more, I consider everything a loss compared
to the surpassing greatness of knowing
Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things.
I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ.
Philippians 3:8
