Il y a le question du jour...

More Life.....

this week has been awful (except sunday was pretty good, seeing kevin, heather, seany, etc.)...soooo much homework...i hate school...i'm so upset with all the stuff i have to do and...some people, who shall remain unnamed, are starting to annoy me...im not happy right now...oh well, thanksgiving is coming along with a long weekend and i have a half day and get to play tennis tomorrow, so i hope that today is my last semi-bad day this week...(by the way sean, last time we played halo 1 on 1, i beat you!!)

A Very Different Weekend....

last night wasn't remotely like what i thought it would be...it thought youth group, devo., halo, d&d...not quite, there was a devo., but i felt like i was the only one talking (not that that's bad i felt i got something out of the lesson), played halo with steve, but no d&d...but it was ok, jag came over after everyone left and we played halo some more (friendship!!! lol)...that was really fun...and then mrs. margaret called and said she could take me and sarah to see harry potter w/ her and donna...so we went...felt kinda bad leaving jag to do who knows what (i think he went and played guitar with tate)...but the movie was pretty good, really different from the book but good...so about today...sarah got contacts, went and saw harry potter again with my parents and thats about it...a very unusual start to the weekend but it was really fun...

Question du Jour

These random questions are hard to think of...how about this one..

If you could have any job in the world, (and you got paid well for it) what would it be and WHY??

Life......

today wasn't so bad, its a friday which means youth group and D&D...i always look forward to fridays because i get to spend time with my christain friends (not that my friends at school arent christian) and just hang out and play D&D...the lack of comments on my "have you read your bible today" question is a little disconcerting especially becuase most of the people who read my blog are in my youth group....oh well...the college group will be back soon, yay! i hope we get to play a reunion session of d&d because tails has been asking me about it for like 2 weeks...anyway can't wait for youth and d&d tonight and thats about it...i've got nothing to say about my day that might be interesting to anyone else...

Question du Jour

Have you read your bible today? If yes, what did you read or were there any scriptures that stood out and hit you?

Thursday

my day was pretty good...this morning as my mom was driving me to school, by the way my mom went to work today so she could try to save some of her sick days and that made me mad that they won't give her anymore sick days because she just had thyroid surgery a exactly one week ago and shes a teacher and thats to much strain on her voice...anyway, and i was thinking wow this week is taking forever...why? then i thought its because im not enjoying the moment, im living in the future...waiting for the weekend so i can spend the weekend dreading to go back to school then going back to school to wait for the weekend again...so today i just sat back and enjoyed the life that God has blessed me with and before i knew it is was 8th pd (which is the last pd of the day)...this is where my day hit a small road bump...but i still would rate my day as pretty good...and i learned something (and this is the part i want to you to skip to if you don't feel like reading my whole entry) don't get so caught up in whats going to happen, that you stop enjoying what is happening; every moment is God-given, enjoy it!

Question du Jour

this question is inspired by my upcoming trip to japan which will (God willing) take place in the spring. Ok so here's my second question du jour.
What famous event occurs in Japan in the spring?
Hint:this week-long event is considered a national holiday in Japan and people get off work for it and go spend time with their families.

JAPAN HERE I COME!!!

today in lunch, my friend (who loves Japan almost as much as i do, and has a boyfriend who loves Japan just as much as i do) and i were talking and suddenly she was like, eric (her boyfriend) really wants to go to japan, and i was like i would LOVE!! to go to japan. and she said, maybe we could all go together because me and him were talking about going and eric was like what about your friend melissa she really likes japan, she should come too. and im all like YES!! I WILL SO SKIP SENIOR TRIP TO GO TO JAPAN!! so now im looking at airfares for japan and starting to plan a trip because even if i don't go with my friend I AM GOING TO JAPAN! even if i have to go by myself. well thats it i was just so excited about the thought of actually BEING IN JAPAN!!!!!!!! I AM SOOO FIRED UP!!!

Question du Jour

this is my question of the day, although, depending on how long it takes for me to update my blog, it might turn into the question of the week or the question of the month. Anyway as you may have noticed this is the Question du Jour, which means question of the day in French, so this question is going to be about...something random that may or may not have to do with france. so here it is my first question du jour.
If you could have any superpower what it be and WHY?

Bumper stickers

The other day i was in the wawa parking lot and i saw a jeep that had the best bumber stickers on it. there were three stickers; one of them said "rpg players-we do more in one night than you do in your entire life," the second one said "i have seen with wonder the might of a red dragon," and the last one said "monster slain, maiden rescued, treasure plundered." As an avid D&D fan, those are some of the best bumper stickers i have ever seen, although i would crack up if i saw a bumper sticker that said "my kid can beat up your honors kid." yeah, well i guess that's my first official post on my new blog, lets see what you think of it.

MY NEW BLOG!!!

Finally i have my own blog! if any of you are wondering about my name, shinnen, it means faith in japanese and i figure thats pretty much me; a fan of all things japanese and one who is faithful to God. The numbers 159 i added to my name because someone already took shinnen so yeah, you do what you got to do. anyway i look forward to posting funny stories and the like on my blog and having people comment on them.
