If yes, what did you read and did any scriptures really jump out and hit you in the face?

I was reading Matthew 4.. Its the temptation to Christ from Satan.. Satan got schooled... Thats about it... I've read it to many times... i've gotta let it be for a bit and read it again.. It has alot of philo in it and theos... check it out.

Proverbs 17(I always read the chapter that corresponds with the day), psalm 139(I read this every day), adn acts 5 I think- about Ananias adn Saphira. Powerful stuff. It made me think about the things we give God and what are our reasons. They wanted the glory adn honor about giving but Matthew says not to let your right hand know what your left hand is doing. Maybe they gave because everyone else was doing it and they didn't want to feel left out. maybe the didn't quite trust God enough so decided to keep a little for themselves just incase... a lot of good it did them! makes you think...
I will definitely pray for your friend too.
